PEN Fault Detection
The AC EV charger equipped with PEN protection actively monitors the electrical system. In the event of a fault, it automatically disconnects all poles, including the earth conductor.
As a reputableEV charger supplier , BENY AC type 2 charger's design incorporates a contactor that isolates the ground. When the PEN line is disconnected, the contactors KM1 and KM2 are immediately and automatically disengaged. Only a minimal leakage current, less than 1mA, flows between CP and PE to the L line. This leakage current is below the threshold of human perception, ensuring there are no safety risks for individuals using the charger.
